Assistant Sub Inspector Recruitment in BSF

Directorate General Border Security Force (BSF)

Applications are invited from male Indian citizens belonging to Gen, OBC, SC, ST categories and Ex-Servicemen for the 41 posts (UR-18,SC-7,ST-7,OBC-9) of Assistant Sub Inspector (Radio Mechanic) in BSF Comn Set-up in the pay scale of Rs. 4000-100-6000/-. The post carries all admissible allowances to central Govt employees besides rent free acommodation, ration money etc.

• Qualification: Matric with Diploma in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics or Tommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances from any Institution recognised by the State or Central Government OR 10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent with aggregate marks of fifty percent with selective subject being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board or Institution.
• Age : 18-25 years as on 20/08/07 (Relaxation as per GoI rules)
• Physical Standard: Height : 170 cms, Chest : 80 cms (85 cms after expansion, Weight: Corresponding to Height, Eye: 6/6 and 6/9 without correction

Method of selection:

• Physical Efficiency Test : 1.6 km race in 6 1/2 minutes, long jump 3.65 mtrs in three chances, High jump 1.2 cms in three chances.
• Written Test : One paper of 100 marks comprising questions in physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English language and General Awareness of 10+2 standard. Candidates will have option to answer in English or Hindi except in English language section.

Application Fee: Crosses Bank Draft/ Indian Postal Order for Rs.50/- only payable at respective Headquarter for OBC candidates as the examination fee.
