Bihar Council on Science & Technology (BCST) under administrative control of Department of Science & Technology, Government of Bihar is going to extend its wing in multidisciplinary areas such as Promotion of Science & Technology, District Science Centres, Research and Development Programme, Rural Development & Appropriate Technology, Bioinformatics, biotechnology, Nanotechnology, IPR etc. To accompalish the goal, it needs professionals with sharp adged knowledge of their subject who can contribute for fulfillment of these objectives.

1. Advisor : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.18400-22400/-, Age : 55 years (No age bar for retired and eminent scientist), Qualification : PG degree in Science/Technology/ Engg./ IT/ with 20 yrs. experience. Preference wil be given to National/ International eminent scientis who has exposure to multidiscipline and worked in multi-organisation in senior level position.
2. Project Director : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.16400-22400/-, Age : 55 years, Qualification : PG degree in Science/Technology/ Engg./ IT/ M.Tech./ ME/ M.Sc./ with 15 years exp. in Rs&D/ Scientific organisation / Industry out of ehich at least 3 years in the pay scale of Rs. 12000-18300/-. Preference will be given to the MBA/HRD personnel and/or Ph.D. degree holder in the respective field.
3. Principal Scientific Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-18300/-, Age : 45 years, Qualification : PG in Science with Ph.D.degree. Post qualification experiene of 10 years working in scientific organisaton/ Regional Research Centre/ R&D organisation. Preference will be given to person who has exposure to Vigyan Kendra/ Krishi Vigyan Kendra and similiar organisation.
4. Special Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-18300/-, Age : 55 years, Qualification : Graduate with MBA degree in HRD/Personnel/ Finance/Marketing with 10 years exp. of middle level of Mangement in any scientific/reputed organisation.
5. Scientific Officer : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Age : 40 years, Qualification : PG in Science. Post qualification experiene of 10 years working in scientific organisaton/ Regional Research Centre/ R&D organisation. Preference will be given to person who has exposure to Vigyan Kendra/ Krishi Vigyan Kendra and similiar organisation and exposure in Computer.
6. Technical Officer : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Age : 40 years., Qualification : PG in Science/ Technology. Post qualification experiene of 10 years working in scientific organisaton/ Regional Research Centre/ R&D organisation. Preference will be given to person who has exposure to Vigyan Kendra/ Krishi Vigyan Kendra and similiar organisation and exposute in Computer.
7. Stenographer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5000-8000/-, Age : Rs.35 years, Qualification : Bachelor's degree from a recognised University or equivalent thereto. Good knowledge of English shorthand with minimum speed of 100 wpm/40 wpm in English typing. Hindi shorthand and typing with 80 wpm preferable. Computer knowledge : Data entry, word processing and computer operation.
8. PA to Advisior/ Project Director : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.5500-9000/- , Age : 35 years, Qualification : Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university or equivalent thereto. Computer knowledge : Date entry, word processing and computer operation.

B. IGSC-Planetarium :

9. Sr. Scientific Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-18300/-, Age : 45 years, Qualification : Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university or equivalent thereto. Computer knowledge : Data entry, word processing and computer operation.
10. Scientific Officer (Computer Programming) : 01 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/-, Age: 45 years, Qualification : Graduate in Electrical or Computer Science or MCA with 3 years experience in relevant discipline.
11. Photo Lab. Technician : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.5000-8000/-, Age : 35 years, Qualification : Intermediate or Graduate with 3 to 4 years practical experience in relevant area of work.
12. Counter Clerk : 02 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.4000-6000/-, Age : 35 years, Qualification : Intermediate or Graduate with 3 to 4 years eperience in relevant area of work.
