AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE (ARS)  EXAMINATION - 2012

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a Competitive ARS Examination – 20012 for filling up the 431 vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs.6000 in the ICAR Institutes in various disciplines :

 Examination : Preliminary – ARS Examination – 2012 on 24/02/2013 (Sunday) from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm. (ii) ARS – Main Examination – 2012 on 23/06/2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm. 


Age : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01/08/2012. 

Qualification  : A candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject on or before 31/10/2012.


Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 480/- plus Rs.20/- as registration charges (total Rs.500/-) (Rs.20/- for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates) through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No fee from SC/ST candidates.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) EXAMINATION-2012

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on 20/01/2013, Now 24/02/2013 a NET Examination – 2012.

NET is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs). Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test will be eligible for Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs. NET Certificates will be issued to the candidates by the A.S.R.B. to the qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies to be notified or advertised by the State Agricultural Universities. SAUs/AUs will consider their eligibility through interview or any such other tests as devised for recruitment of Lecturers or Assistant Professors.

• NET : Qualification : A candidate must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline with specialization completed on or before 1st August, 2012., Age : 21 years as on 0/08/2012. There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs.500/- for OBC and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates) through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft.

AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE (ARS) / NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) EXAMINATION-2010

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on 19/09/2010, a Competitive ARS / NET Examination – 2009 for filling up the 290 vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs.6000 in the ICAR Institutes, combined with National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining eligibility for recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors by the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs).

Age :

• ARS : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01/08/2010.
• NET : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as on 01/08/2010. There will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Qualification (for both ARS and NET) : A candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject.

Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 1000/- through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No fee from SC/ST candidates.

Last Date : The complete application form must reach the Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 post or delivered in person on or before 20/04/2010. Last date is 04/05/2010 for candidates from far-flung areas.

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold on 26th April, 2009, a Competitive ARS / NET Examination – 2009 for filling up the 226 (revised to 423 posts now + 16 posts for backlog vacnacies) vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of Rs. 8000 -13500 in the ICAR Institutes, combined with National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining eligibility for recruitment of Lecturers and Assistant Professors by the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs).

Age :

• ARS : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 1st January, 2009.
• NET : A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years as on 1st January, 2009. There will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.
