• Scientist : 07 Posts (OBC-4, SC-2, SC-PH-1), Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-, Age: 32 years.
• Senior Scientist : 09 Posts (UP-8, ST-1), Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-, Age: 37 years.

Application Fee :   Rs.100/- (No fee for SC/ST, overseas candidates of Indian origin and regular employees of CSIR) is payable separately for each post in the form of crossed DD drawn in favour of the Director, IITR and payable at Lucknow.

AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE (ARS)  EXAMINATION - 2012

Agricultural Scientists’ Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold a Competitive ARS Examination – 20012 for filling up the 431 vacancies of Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in the pay scale of Rs. 15600-39100 grade pay Rs.6000 in the ICAR Institutes in various disciplines :

 Examination : Preliminary – ARS Examination – 2012 on 24/02/2013 (Sunday) from 02.00 pm to 04.00 pm. (ii) ARS – Main Examination – 2012 on 23/06/2013 (Sunday) from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm. 


Age : A candidate seeking admission to the Agricultural Research Service must have attained the age of 21 years but not have attained the age of 32 years as on 01/08/2012. 

Qualification  : A candidate must have a Master's degree or equivalent in the concerned subject on or before 31/10/2012.


Fee : The candidates seeking admission to examination must pay to the Board a fee of Rs. 480/- plus Rs.20/- as registration charges (total Rs.500/-) (Rs.20/- for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates) through a Crossed Bank Draft only, drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Bank Draft in the top corner at the time of submission of application. No fee from SC/ST candidates.

Last Date : The complete application form must reach The Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 post or delivered in person on or before 18/12/2012. Last date is 31/12/2012 for candidates from far-flung areas.

1. Programme Manager : M.Sc./M.Tech. in Life Sciences (1st Division) with a mimimum of 2 to 3 years relevant eorking experience and good communication skills. Candidates with project management experience or an MBA will be preferred., Salary : Rs.30000-Rs.40000 PM consolidated.
2. Information and Documentation Officer : MCA/ B.Tech. (Computer Science) with 2-3 years of relevant experience in ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, DHTML and Visual Basic. Candidates having experience of working with Senior Executives will be preferred., Salary : Rs.20000-Rs.25000 PM consolidated.
5. Data Entry Operator : Gradaute with computer skills, 5 years experience in related job desirable, Salary : Rs.20000 PM consolidated.
6. Office Secretary : Graduate with short hand, typing and computer skills., Salary : Rs.10000 PM consolidated.

All posts are contractual for a period of 2 years with a scope of further extension.
