Members Industrial Court vacancy in Maharashtra

APPELLATE SIDE

Applications are invited for the posts of Members, Industrial Court,
in the Judicial Service of the State of Maharashtra :

• Members (Industrial Court): 14 posts, Pay scale : Rs.16750-20500/-, Age : not less than 35 years and more than 50 years of age., Qualification : a degree holder in Law of a University established by law. (b) practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or Courts subordinate thereto for not less than 10 years on the date of publication of Advertisement. OR must have worked as a Public Prosecutor or Government Pleader for not less than 10 years as such and in computing the period of 10 years, the period during which the candidate has practiced as an Advocate shall be included. (c ) Knowledge of Marathi.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will have to appear for Competitive
Examination/ Written Examination which shall be of not less than two and half hours duration with 200 marks. The High Court shall hold viva-voce examination carrying 50 marks of candidates who secure not less than 50% of marks at such written examination. Provided that Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates who obtain 45% or more marks in the written examination, shall be eligible for the viva-voce examination.

How to Apply : Application should be submitted only by Registered Post or Speed
Post in the prescribed format with copies of testimonials and two passport size colour photographs, one duly affixed on application and one in separate envelope without pinning it to any paper so as to reach the Registrar General, High Court,
Bombay – 400032, on or before 4th September, 2008. The application should be accompanied by fees in the sum of Rs.1000/- for General category and Rs.500/- for SC/ ST candidate, in the form of demand draft in favour of Registrar, High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay, payable at par at Bombay.
