Judge Labour Court recruitment in Maharashtra

HIGH COURT AT BOMBAY
APPELLATE SIDE

Applications are invited for the posts of Judge, Labour Court in the Judicial Service of the State of Maharashtra :

  • Judge Labour Courts: 29 posts, Pay scale : Rs.12850-17550/-, Age : not less than 25 years and more than 35 years of age., Qualification : a holder of Degree in Law (b) practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or Courts subordinate thereto for not less than 7 years Advertisement. OR must have worked as a Public Prosecutor or Government Pleader for not less than 7 years as such and in computing the period of 7 years, the period during which the candidate has practiced as an Advocate shall be included.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will have to appear for Competitive Examination/ Written Examination which shall be of not less than two and half hours duration with 200 marks. The High Court shall hold viva-voce examination carrying 50 marks of candidates who secure not less than 50% of marks at such written examination. Provided that Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates who obtain 45% or more marks in the written examination, shall be eligible for the viva-voce examination.

How to Apply : Application should be submitted only by Registered Post or Speed Post in the prescribed format with copies of testimonials and two passport size colour photographs, one duly affixed on application and one in separate envelope without pinning it to any paper so as to reach the Registrar General, High Court, Bombay – 400032, on or before 4th September, 2008. The application should be accompanied by fees in the sum of Rs.1000/- for General category and Rs.500/- for SC/ ST candidate, in the form of demand draft in favour of Registrar, High Court, Appellate Side, Bombay, payable at par at Bombay.
