The Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Institute (CIHTS) is a Deemed to be University. The Institute invites applications from eligible candidates in the prescribed form for preparation of Panel to fill up current and future vacancies on regular/contractual basis as per requirements of the teaching/research areas in the following subjects. The last date for submission of application duly completed is 09/09/2008 (4 p.m.)

1. Professors (Scale: Rs.16400-22400) One each in Moolshastra -Sanskrit-Tibetan Medium and Tibetan Medium, Sanskrit, Bhot Shilp Vldya, Bhot Jyotish and Research.
2. Readers (Scale: Rs.12000-18300) One each in Moolshastra,Sanskrit,Bhot Shllp Vidya, Gelug Sampradya . and Sakya Sampradya.
3. Editors (Scale: Rs.12000-18300) One each in the Units of Dictionary, Restoration, Rare Buddhist Texts and Publication.
4. Lecturers (Scale: 8000-13500) One each in Sanskrit, Bhot Jyotish, Nigngma Sampradya, Sakya Sampradya, English, Tibetan Language, Tibetan Woodcraft, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Bon Sampradya, Bhot Chikitsa Vidya, Tibetan History, Political Science, Bhot shilp Vidya ,Tibetan Fine Arts & Paintings and Two in Getug Sampradya.
5. Instructors (Scale: 8000-13500) One in Games and Physical Education
6. Asstt. Editor (Scale: 8000-13500) One in Translation.

Reservations exists as per prescribed norms of Govt of India.

Prescribed application form and details about recruitment, Service conditions, Scale of pay, Essential & desirable qualifications etc. can be obtained from Section Officer, (Admn.I) Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies (CIHTS), Sarnath, Varanasi-221007 (U.P.) on submission of a written request with a non refundable payment of Rs.100/- for general candidates and Rs. 50/- for ST/SC candidates in the form of Bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, CIHTS, payable at Varanasi and with a self addressed envelop duly affixed with postal stamp of Rs.25/- to reach on above address latest by August 25,2008.
